NuHealth's
Family Health Centers are bringing a new kind of care to the
communities that need it most. Our goal is to see that every Long
Islander has a "medical home" — a place where people you know provide
the kind of primary and preventative care that safeguards the health of
you and your family.

what our Family Health Centers are all about: great care delivered by
compassionate doctors and nurses right in your own neighborhood. You'll
get your own doctor who will work to keep you and your family healthy.
Consultations with specialists in areas like diabetes, OB-GYN and
pediatrics. And as part of NuHealth, we will make it easy to get
necessary treatment from our outpatient specialty services or, if
necessary, as an inpatient at Nassau University Medical Center. We can
even help you obtain low or no-cost insurance coverage, if eligible.

LI
Federally-Qualified Health Centers (LIFQHC) is a non-profit,
consumer-driven organization created to help address the health needs of
the region’s most vulnerable populations. It is governed by 13 board
members, seven of whom receive primary care at one of NuHealth’s Family
Health Centers, while the remaining six are leaders of the regional
non-profit community. This partnership allows us to enhance services,
expand hours of operation, obtain reduced prescription pricing, and more
— all to improve the quality and availability of preventative and
primary care in Nassau County’s 33 medically-underserved communities.

South Ocean Care
The
latest addition to NuHealth’s network of local health centers, South
Ocean Care is a Multi-Medical Specialty & Dental Facility which
provides a safe and comfortable environment for everyone. Our
board-certified physicians, along with a caring, compassionate staff,
take time to put you at ease, listen to your problem, and help you
understand not only your health condition, but your health coverage.
